The LORD is faithful in all his words, and gracious in all his deeds.
The LORD upholds all who are falling, and raises up all who are bowed down.
The eyes of all look to thee, and thou givest them their food in due season.
Thou openest thy hand, thou satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
The LORD is just in all his ways, and kind in all his doings.
LORD is near to all who call upon him, to all who call upon him in truth.
He fulfils the desire of all who fear him, he also hears their cry, and saves them.
The LORD preserves all who love him; but all the wicked he will destroy.
My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD, and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.

from Psalm 145

Water, truth, for confused thoughts during troubled times. Joy and comfort stretched forth!

I've been catching up on reading, Teri, and my heart goes out to you in your trials -- and I am so encouraged by your faith at the same time!

You are right that God does not always "buffer" our kids, no matter how we pray -- but that's because they make their own choices, too. We can only show them what we know and that we love them and leave them to Him -- knowing that whatever happens, He is still God and He is still good.

Thanks for this passage today; it was good to read as I end an especially hard day of my own.

God bless you!

Beth

Thank you, Beth. I love your comment about choice, and that God is still good, despite any evil. He wants good for us and our children. And, I guess he still wants our prayers for help as he promises that he will help. Ah, trust ....!

Take care, and I hope your day is better today.
