Isn't that a cute little wee bill? We are cramming in as much U.S. government lessons as we can prior to our trip to Washington D.C. at the end of April. The above cartoon (and subsequent others to explain the process) came from a helpful colorful site here. Geez, I homeschool in order to realize how much I don't remember!

I have to ask ... do you use Schoolhouse Rock?
No, do you recommend it? Haven't looked at it. I just remember from the cartoon ... Your gramma's not your gramma she's your grammar. Grammar rock, brought to you by Nabisco!
Those were the days of Saturday morning cartoon watching!

I don't know if it's age appropriate, since I don't know how old your son is, but it definitely seems to be a memorable way of teaching things. Every single person that I know who is around my age can sing you at least one song from Schoolhouse Rock, and they can generally apply the content of the song. There are even people who could serenade you with the Preamble.
Thank you for the recommendation. In addition, I might ask you to demonstrate the serenading of the Preamble at our next poetry meeting. :)
Cody is 11; and, he is one of those kids who can hear a song a couple of times and know the words.
Hmmm.... this may be perfect;I should check this out!
